Staking Modules Updates
Community Staking Module
CSM Stake Share Limit Increase
Lido DAO approval of the July on-chain vote not only upgraded the Community Staking Module (CSM) to v3, but also authorized the Community Staking Module Committee (CSMC) to propose changes to the CSM stakeShareLimit through Easy Track motions, within a predefined range of up to 0.5% in either direction.
This provides a faster pathway to react on the staking inflows and sustainably scale the capacity available to permissionless Lido operators. Compared with the on-chain governance process, which can take minimum 10 days, Easy Track motions allows to handle routine changes more efficiently while retaining an objection mechanism.
With the CSM reaching 8.36% of Lido Core TVL as of July 31, the CSMC proposed increasing the module’s stake limit by 0.5 percentage points, to 9%.
This increased capacity creates even more room for permissionless validation within Lido Core, enabling more independent operators to participate in securing Ethereum with up to 2.03% of all staked ETH now able to be operated through the CSM.
Together with dedicated Identified Community Staker (ICS) and Identified DVT Cluster (IDVTC) operator types, this supports a broader and more diverse operator set and contributes to Ethereum’s validator decentralization and resilience.
Upcoming ICS & IDVTC Assessment Cut-Offs
If you're an independent staker and haven’t applied yet, there’s still some time to submit your application and access enhanced parameters within Lido’s permissionless validator set.
Operator Type | Description | Upcoming Deadline | Apply |
Identified Community Staker | Enhanced validation parameters for the independent community stakers. | September 7 | |
Identified DVT Cluster | Capital-efficient path for ICS operators to run validators collaboratively through DVT. | September 21 |
Applications remain open continuously, so missing the closest dates doesn’t mean missing the opportunity at all. Next ICS and IDVTC assessment cut-offs are scheduled for December 7 and December 21, respectively, giving interested operators additional time to strengthen their applications and be considered in the final assessment of 2026.
Curated and Curated v2 Modules
mump2p PERCH Proposal
Optimum has published a request for Curated Node Operators (NOs) to run and test mump2p, a gossip protocol designed to accelerate Ethereum block propagation using Random Linear Network Coding (RLNC).
According to Optimum’s mainnet measurements, mump2p propagated blocks 2.42x faster than the baseline, improving head vote accuracy and attestation timeliness — both factors that can drive validator APR. Find more details in the respective docs.
Several Curated Module NOs are already running mump2p on Hoodi. Optimum is inviting more Curated operators to participate in the one-month Hoodi evaluation by expressing interest in the the Research Forum thread and submitting the application form.
Discord Validator Alerts Refresh
Lido Node Operator Mechanisms (NOM) contributors are refreshing the Discord Validator Alerts setup for Curated Module NOs.
If your organization would like to receive validator alerts via Discord, please fill out the form with the Discord IDs of the representatives who should be pinged and select the types of alerts they should receive.
Please submit the form even if you’re already subscribed to Curated Module (CMv1) alerts, as existing subscriptions are being refreshed. Preferences submitted through the form will also be carried over to Curated Module v2 (CMv2).
If any questions, please reach out to the NOM contributors.

Wind-Down Grant Distributed
Lido DAO approved a one-time Grant Framework recognizing the significant operational effort contributed by Simple DVT (SDVTM) regular clusters participants throughout the module’s two years of operation.
A total of 240 eligible operators (based on their support of cluster operations during the wind-down process, as well as not being participants in one of the remaining Super Clusters) received 0.175 stETH to their designated rewards addresses. No claim is required — the funds are available immediately.
Former SDVTM regular cluster operators can check their rewards addresses to confirm receipt. If you have any questions or experience any issues, please reach out to Lido contributors in the #simple-dvt channel on Discord.
Note: Four eligible operators were not included in this distribution because they had not yet confirmed their rewards addresses. If you are one of them, please either confirm your existing rewards address or submit the form to provide an updated address. The grant will be distributed to these operators in a follow-up batch once their addresses are confirmed.
Node Operator Community
Lido Poolside
Tokenholder Update
August community call with Lido Labs leadership covered a broad range of topics, including H1 financial and operating results, the state of the DAO Treasury and LDO supply, product updates, the recently introduced EIP-8363: Tapered Issuance Burn and contributors’ perspective on the proposed issuance change, as well as priorities and next steps for the months ahead.

Lido V3 Infra Fee
While Ethereum’s validator entry queue has shortened, activation times remain relatively long.
The stVaults Committee extended the Early Adopters Campaign through October 31, 2026, maintaining a 0% Lido Infrastructure Fee for all qualifying stVaults.
The terms are available to Identified Node Operators running stVaults with more than 250 ETH TVL. Operators who have not yet qualified for this status can apply by following the stVaults Node Operators Identification guide.
Fill out this form and get started today.
Max-Profit Relay Sunset
bloxRoute announced the sunset of its Max-Profit relay.
All Lido Node Operators using the relay should remove it from their mev-boost/relay configurations. This includes:
- removing
bloxroute.max-profit.blxrbdn.com - removing all regional variants:
virginia/frankfurt/paris/singapore/tokyo/hongkong.max-profit.blxrbdn.com
If the relay remains configured, operators will see error messages in their logs. No other impact is expected.
Node operators who wish to continue using a bloXroute relay can configure, or keep configured, the Regulated relay (bloxroute.regulated.blxrbdn.com) or the relevant regional endpoint.
The Relay Maintenance Committee (RMC) will initiate an Easy Track motion to remove Max-Profit from Lido’s list of vetted relays,
. As this change requires governance process, the list may continue to show Max-Profit for some time.Validator and Node Operator Metrics Q2 2026 Update
The Q2 2026 VaNOM report is now live, providing an in-depth view of Lido validator set composition, infrastructure evolution, and decentralization progress across the protocol.
The biggest evolution of Lido Core landed on mainnet in July, but its impact was already visible in Q2 VaNOM data. With evaluation criteria for the new CMv2 Decentralization Operator type published ahead of the new Curated Module v2 launch, Curated Node Operators had an opportunity to improve and diversify their setups in preparation for the first assessment round.
The first effects are clearly seen across several key validator set metrics:
- Geographic server concentration decreased: Germany’s share fell from around 20% to 16.31%, while the United States, historically the second-largest location, declined to 12.53%.
- Execution client diversity improved: the two most widely used EL clients now each account for roughly one-third of Curated validators, the lowest concentration since the protocol launched.
- Non-cloud infrastructure became the majority for the first time: dedicated servers, on-premises deployments, and colo collectively host 55.88% of Curated validators.
Together, these shifts illustrate how the CMv2 Node Operator Assessment Framework can translate decentralization incentives into tangible improvements in Lido validator setup, encouraging greater geographic, infrastructure, and client diversity and continuous improvements by the NOs to remain competetive.
This also reflect ongoing progress toward a more decentralized Lido validator ecosystem, contributing to the protocol and Ethereum network resilience.
Recent improvement resulted in passing the Ethereum Foundation indicators, which signal notable strengths and common weaknesses across staking pools.
Lido protocol became the first and only staking pool to receive green checks across all indicators, with execution client diversity being the final metric to cross the threshold.
Proposals to Watch
Lido contributors are actively participating in discussions around the future of Ethereum staking. Below are several proposals worth watching: from network-level improvements to validator reward management and deposit security to the protocol ones how Lido’s MEV approach could evolve with ePBS, planned for the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade.
How to support?
If you believe EIP-8148 and EIP-8205 should be considered for inclusion in Hegotá (currently scheduled for 2027), please share your perspective in the respective Ethereum Magicians discussions. Even a short comment from an operator perspective can help surface practical considerations and provide EF contributors with additional feedback from those running validator infrastructure.
You can also signal your preferences through Forkcast, a community platform where anyone can rank EIPs for the Hegotá upgrade. Rankings are a community signal and do not represent an official vote.
- Visit https://forkcast.org/rank/.
- In the EIP list on the right, collapse the Execution Layer section and scroll to Staking Features under Consensus Layer dropdown.
- Drag and drop EIPs into tiers on desktop, or tap to assign them on mobile. S-tier represents your highest-priority proposals, while DFI represents proposals you explicitly reject.
- Under the Your Ratings box click on “Copy Link” or “Download Image” to share your rankings with others and on socials.
