Staking Modules Updates
Curated Module
CMv2 Landscape
The next step in the evolution of the Curated Module — CMv2 — has been introduced for community feedback and discussion. It has been designed to keep Lido Core competitive and sustainable,
while strengthening its alignment with Ethereum’s decentralization goals. Key elements include bond-based security, operator classification, improved incentive alignment, and lower governance friction.
Future of the Curated Module | CMv2 Landscape
(Proposal for Community Feedback) This post outlines a proposal for community and DAO feedback on the high-level design of the Curated Module v2 (CMv2), the next iteration of Lido Core’s main staking module. TL;DR As Lido’s Curated Module (CM) continues to secure the vast majority of stETH stake, its next evolution – Curated Module v2 (CMv2) – is being proposed for feedback and DAO approval. CMv2 aims to ensure that Lido Core remains competitive, sustainable, and aligned with Ethereum’s decen...

Fee Change
LDO tokenholders voted in favour of adjusting the fee structure for Node Operators in the Curated Module. This update reflects the evolving dynamics of Ethereum staking, increased market competition, and the proposed changes in the Staking Router v3 and Curated Module v2, and introduces tier-based system.
Note: These changes are not yet live. Implementation requires smart contract updates, so this proposal will be included in the upcoming December on-chain vote, followed by a Dual Governance review.
mev-commit Conditionally Approved
The APM Committee has approved the use of Primev’s mev-commit for Lido Node Operators, limiting it to the terms outlined in the latest proposal. The inclusion into the APM Allowed List will follow a successful testing phase, which is expected to take approximately 2–4 weeks, making it the last step before it becomes fully available to Lido Node Operators on mainnet.

Community Staking Module
The First 500 Operators
The last day of fall marked a major milestone — 500 operators registered to secure Ethereum through the CSM, making the first permissionless Lido module the 9th largest Ethereum staking pool and accounting for nearly 1% of all staked ETH.
This milestone reflects growing demand from the ecosystem for a setup, which allows anyone to run Ethereum validators with enhanced capital efficiency and aligned incentives.
The Community Staking Module mission remains clear and unchanged: empower a broader, more diverse validator base — not just within the Lido protocol, but across the entire Ethereum ecosystem by enabling permissionless, truly community-led staking.
Onward to 1,000.
Round #2 Application is Open Till December 22
207 CSM operators have already claimed their Identified Community Staker (ICS) status and are enjoying enhanced parameters.
If you're an independent operator — home staker or part of a community group — and haven’t applied yet, now’s the time! The ICS Node Operator type might become your well-deserved
recognition to round out the year with 6% reward share for the first 16 validators, reduced bond requirements, deposit priority for the first 10 validators, and wider acceptable validator performance straight out of the box.
Operators who applied after October 1 will also be evaluated in this round too.
SafeStake DVT to Cease Operations
If you currently use SafeStake DVT to run your CSM validators, please initiate validator exits for your SafeStake validators as soon as possible, as your validators may have gone offline and start accruing penalties on the Beacon Chain. Additionally, withdraw all remaining balances and rewards via the SafeStake dashboard by December 31, 2025.
Simple DVT Module
All clusters — 70 Regular and 10 Super — are currently operating at full capacity, collectively securing 340k staked ETH. This represents 0.95% of the total network stake, marking a meaningful protocol contribution to the Ethereum resilience through DVT-based infrastructure.

Node Operator Community
Lido Poolside: Tokenholder Update
The latest Lido Poolside community call featured insights on Lido’s market position, Q3 financial performance, the proposed buyback framework, and the strategic outlook for 2026.
The session also included an open Q&A with Lido Labs leadership, covering questions around stETH value following Lido V3 introduction, upcoming end-user products, growth initiatives, and the evolving role of the Community Staking Module.

Lido V3 & stVaults Launching Soon
stVaults Node Operators Identification Started
The stVaults Committee has officially begun processing public identification requests from Node Operators. This optional process, aligned with the Lido V3 Risk Assessment Framework, allows Node Operators to disclose information for more accurate risk profiling and collateral requirements for minting stETH.
How the Identification Process Works
- Submit a Request on Lido Research Forum Publish your post in the stVaults Identification category, following these requirements. It will serve as the formal trigger for a Node Operator to be considered for transition from Unidentified to Identified status.
- Provide Additional Information Technical and business details are required only during the initial identification process and category assignment.
- Assessment and Scoring The stVaults Committee evaluates candidates across three main areas:
- Operational Capabilities
- Decentralization and Infrastructure Distribution
- Business Case with emphasis on proposed use cases
- Category and Tier Announcement The stVaults Committee publishes its decision, including the assigned category and corresponding Tier Grid (Reserve Ratio and stETH minting limits), and rationale as a new post or reply to the original request thread.
- Operator Card Creation The stVaults Committee creates the Node Operator card. It will be displayed on the Node Operators Overview page, when the Node Operator has at least one stVault with at least 32 ETH of total value (Node Operators Overview page will go live later).

Early Builders and Partners: Open Call
As Lido contributors prepare for the Lido V3 mainnet launch, they’re inviting early builders, Node Operators, integrators, and partners to join the initial launch wave. Whether you're:
- Building or launching products using stVaults infrastructure
- Planning to join co-launch or co-marketing activities around V3
- Aiming to help shape the next phase of Ethereum staking
… Lido contributors would be happy to support your efforts with visibility, technical help, and co-marketing.
If you’re building something and aim for V3 launch, fill out this form and join the Lido V3 launch wave.
Lido Validators Gas Limits
In the early hours of November 26 (3:07am UTC), just a week before the Fusaka hardfork, Ethereum mainnet saw its first 60M gas block — a long awaited milestone toward increased network throughput and x2 to the beginning of 2025.
Since then, the chain has steadily moved closer to the new limit, with 60M becoming the default following the successful Fusaka upgrade.
As of December 1st, 44.6% of Lido validators voted for a 60M+ gas limit, +39.7 percentage point increase to the previous month. This surge highlights Lido Node Operators preparations ahead of the network upgrade.
- 54.9% (-32.7pp. MoM) voting for 45M
- 44.6% (+39.7pp. MoM) voting for 60M
- 0.5% (+0.5pp. MoM) voting for 90M

Validator and Node Operator Metrics Q3 Update
The Q3 2025 VaNOM report is now live — offering an in-depth look into the protocol modules composition, infrastructure trends, and decentralization improvements across the Lido validator set. Here are a few quick highlights:
- New section: Auxiliary Proposer Mechanisms (APMs) details how Lido Node Operators utilize various block proposal mechanisms on Ethereum.
- DVT Adoption Share Shifts: Over 545,000 staked ETH operated through Obol, SafeStake, and SSV Network-based setups, supporting increased robustness and operator diversity.
- Operator Growth: +9.46% increase in unique Node Operators, with 59 new entrants (most joining via the permissionless Community Staking Module).
