Modules Updates
Community Staking Module
Following the DAO’s approval of the CSM: stakeShareLimit and keyRemovalCharge parameters adjustment proposal, the keyRemovalCharge
parameter value was updated in the recent on-chain vote from 0.05 ETH to 0.02 ETH per key. This adjustment aligns the parameter with current network conditions while preserving its essential safety function.
The keyRemovalCharge
is one of the safety parameters in the CSM. It was initially set to 0.05 ETH; however, Ethereum gas prices have decreased significantly since then. The current 8-month average gas price is ~11 Gwei.
Using the same methodology from the original calculation and based on a conservative 20 Gwei maximum gas price estimate, the updated queue cleanup gas cost estimate is 0.02 ETH.
Simple DVT Module
Distributed Validator Vault
The DVV now states the estimated APR for staking rewards. This integration enables stakers to access Mellow Finance data seamlessly, providing real-time, hands-on APR insights for a smooth and transparent staking experience.

stVaults Deep Dive & Testnet Demo
Lido V3 is a major upgrade expanding the protocol, empowering Node Operators (NOs) to leverage Lido’s infrastructure and robust staking features to deliver best-in-class staking experiences. It enables NOs to create dedicated stVaults for their customers, ensuring they can fully benefit from Lido’s ecosystem.
stVaults are the innovation that enables non-custodial, permissionless and customizable staking setups. It allows builders and stakers to tailor staking solutions as they see fit, all while benefiting from industry-leading stETH liquidity.
V3 testnet launched at the end of April, and builders can begin creating tailored staking setups using stVaults on Hoodi.
Check out the demo on how to create stVaults, supply ETH, mint stETH, and how to interact with the Predeposit Guarantee contract — a special contract guarding ETH deposits from vaults to validators — using the stVaults CLI tool.

APM Committee Establishment
The establishment and structure of the Auxiliary Proposer Mechanisms Committee —responsible for reviewing, approving, and maintaining the list of APMs and sidecars that Node Operators may use within the Lido protocol — was approved by the Lido DAO during the Snapshot vote.
The APM Committee comprises a balanced group of Lido contributors, technical reviewers, risk experts, and APM community contributors who bring diverse expertise to this process:

LCST Welcomes a New Participant: Wonderland
Wonderland, a group of developers, researchers and data scientists creating open and decentralised financial apps for Ethereum, joins the Lido Community Staking Tribes Initiative.
Wonderland team members will begin their validator journey, equipped with co-branded Dappnode hardware and supported by the Lido Community Lifeguards.

Compromised Chorus One Oracle Incident
On May 10, the Lido Oracle address operated by Chorus One was compromised, resulting in a drain of 1.46 ETH from its balance. Oracle report delays were also observed on the same day.
The protocol remains secure and fully operational, with no impact on stakers. The oracle system is designed to be robust, utilizing a 5-of-9 quorum model. All other oracle participants remain safe.
Read the incident summary and the immediate mitigation steps taken on the Lido Research Forum.
A full post-mortem will be published after the investigation concludes.
