Modules Updates
Community Staking Module
CSM has been fully permissionless for one month
The Community Staking Module (CSM) has been permissionless for a month now.
In that time:
- Permissionless stake share in Lido more than doubled, from 0.65% to 1.42%;
- ~2300 new validators have been deposited to;
- 50+ new operators have joined;
- Over 2,000 new keys were deposited in February;
- The 4th Node Operator rewards were finalized and distributed.
UI Improvements
Deposit queue visualization
Check out your keys tab on CSM UI because now you can:
- See the overall state of the deposit queue in CSM and how it is placed against the CSM stake share limit
- See the position of your queued keys
- Check the potential position of your keys in the queue before uploading them
Rewards Distribution Details
You can now track your most recent rewards and get a glimpse of when your next rewards are expected to arrive
CSM UI repository is now public! Check it out if you’re curious
Simple DVT Module
Distributed Validator Vault
- Currently SSV points are being generated with a ~ 7x multiplier. Obol points will resume with onset of their Programmatic Rewards Program.

VaNOM Q4 report
The Q4 2024 VaNOM report is now live!
Q4 2024 report introduces top-level CSM statistics, reflecting its impact on operator growth. Thanks to the CSM early adopters, the number of total registered Node Operators was 512 across the entire protocol. SDVT now accounts for 1.82% of the stake, while CSM holds 0.67%, with SDVT’s footprint extending across 33 countries. Beyond these additions, EL/CL client distribution remains unchanged, and other key metrics - such as geographic and jurisdictional diversity, stake allocation, and NO compliance - show minimal changes from Q3. Detailed CSM statistics are expected next quarter.
Lido Protocol Compatibility with Ethereum’s Pectra Upgrade
Lido contributors published a blog post that outlines Lido’s Roadmap to Pectra with required changes to the Lido Protocol to ensure its compatibility with Ethereum’s Pectra Upgrade.
Immediate changes focus on ensuring that the Lido Protocol remains fully operational through and following the Pectra hardfork. This includes:
- Updating the oracle consensus version to manage new deposit queues and dynamic validator balances.
- Redeploying the CS Verifier contract with updated gIndexes, and revising validator churn parameters (such as lowering the daily exit and appearance limits).
- Additionally, interim measures like fallback plans (e.g., pausing deposits if needed) and two sequential on-chain votes are designed to secure the protocol’s stability during the transition.
For a more technical overview and further discussion of immediate changes proposed to the Lido protocol of Pectra compatibility, refer to Lido Improvement Proposal 27.
