Satellite communities are local groups focused on Ethereum node running supported by Lido. These communities primarily operate via Telegram or any popular communication channel used in the country in question, creating a space for discussions and technical support among node operators and enthusiasts.
Lido provides support, coordinates activities with the local collaborator, and funding opporuntities for community-driven activities through the Community Staking Grants program.
If you have any questions, please reach out to any of the Community Lifeguards:
🤝 Relationship between Lido and Satellite Communities
Satellite Communities are independently run local groups supported by Lido to discuss Ethereum staking, Lido-related news, and relevant ecosystem topics. Although these communities have a close relationship with Lido, they are independent and do not represent official partnerships or direct organizational structures.
You can communicate that:
"This community is supported by Lido to foster local engagement with Ethereum staking and related technologies."
You should NOT imply formal partnership, sponsorship, or direct affiliation beyond support unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
🫂 Keep the Community Updated!
Transparency is crucial! We encourage all Satellite Communities to regularly share community highlights, upcoming events, and key outcomes from activities, either in the Lido forum or socials, local forums, or community chats.
Regular updates help increase visibility and community engagement, providing valuable insights to both your local members and the global Lido ecosystem.

📚 Responsible Use of the Logo and Brand
Satellite Communities are supported by the Community Lifeguards Initiative at Lido to strengthen Ethereum staking communities globally.
Any unauthorized use or misrepresentation of Lido’s brand or communities themselves may result in removal requests or termination of support.
📌 Opportunities and Considerations
- Encouraging Diverse Topics:
- Developing Local Leaders:
- Flexible Engagement:
- Funding Opportunities:
These communities are focused on operators, but conversations that help deepen the understand and involvement on Ethereum are also welcome, like discussing core protocol updates, governance and more.
We hope to see community leaders emerge who can help coordinate local efforts, organize events, and amplify relevant staking initiatives locally.
We recognize that community sizes and interests may vary. While active engagement and content amplification are appreciated, our priority is genuine alignment rather than rigid obligations. Your involvement should be manageable, enjoyable, and impactful.
Although there isn’t a fixed or guaranteed budget for communities, Lido’s Community Lifeguards offer grants up to a maximum of $10,000 per initiative. However, we recommend planning smaller, high-impact activities more frequently instead of single, large-budget events. Aim for sustainable engagement through quarterly or periodic events.
📣 Moderation Guidelines
To maintain a respectful and engaging community environment, please adhere to these guidelines:
- Community Scope:
- Respectful Dialogue:
- Constructive Conversations:
- No Spam or Promotion:
Discussions should focus primarily on Ethereum and staking-related projects, although related tangential discussions are welcomed.
Personal attacks, harassment, doxxing, or any behavior detrimental to healthy community interactions will lead to immediate removal without notice.
While constructive feedback of Ethereum projects is allowed, direct or indirect attacks aimed at projects within the Ethereum ecosystem or staking protocols are prohibited.
Referral links, unsolicited advertisements, and unrelated promotional materials are prohibited.
